Brent Schulze

COO - Lab Director

Brent Schulze is an “ex-rock star” turned Biologist/Zoologist, specializing in venomous Squamates and Arthropods, with a passion for venomous animal research, outreach/education, and helping people through multiple organizations.

Brent has traveled for years to collect snakes for venom production and lifesaving antivenom/pharmaceutical production, travels for toxicology and venom specific conferences, and is working currently on educational television shows and even National Geographic Magazine in Dec 2024.

Brent loves working with and educating the public about Venomous animals and the associated research. As a co-founder, he has taken on the role of COO/Lab Director for Volta Venom Labs

As the CEO and co-founder of Volta Venom Labs, I am dedicated to advancing the frontier of medical research through the transformative potential of venom-based therapies.

With over 25 years of experience in IT, development and engineering facilitation, I ensure that our research and development teams operate with precision, collaboration, and efficiency.

As a PMP with a strong foundation in Agile, Lean, and Scrum methodologies, I excel in guiding multi-disciplinary teams through complex, high-stakes projects.

Peter Wokwicz

Senior Advisor

With more than 25+ years of successful technology and start-up experience, Peter Wokwicz is the lead Volta investor and advises on ongoing markets and strategy.

Peter has directed innovative tech product companies as well as software, wealth management, hedge fund, and business advisory firms.

He also has been engaged as an interim C-level/advisor for cutting-edge companies and start-ups - guiding tech, software, engineering, M&A, IPO, and investment decisions.
